Omnivox is a Quebec product created by Skytech Communications in close collaboration with the Education network. Omnivox is made for secondary, college as well as university level educational establishments.
The Omnivox platform allows for the centralization of all the computer services available within an establishment. As the main point of secure access to an establishment's computer services, Omnivox:
In addition to offering a unique and secure access to all of the computer services in your establishment, Omnivox allows you to create Communities in which collaboration is at the forefront. An Community is a group of persons defined according to your needs: a department, an administrative service, a committee, a board of governors, a work group, etc.
Omnivox, supported by the most recent technologies, allows the Community to take shape and gives it tools that are, to date, unequaled to communicate and exchange information with. The Communities enable the diffusion of communiqués, sharing of documents and useful links as well as the exchange of ideas on discussion forums.
The Communities favor and facilitate interactions between members of different groups in your establishment. The Communities will contribute to making your intranet popular within your establishment and solidify its vocation as a centralized source of information and collaboration.

The Omnivox Technology, develop by Skytech Communications, used by John Abbott College subscribes to very rigorous rules with regards to security and confidentiality. Every precaution has been taken so that the information pertaining to you is protected again any error, loss or unauthorized access.
All of the operations carried out via Omnivox are encrypted in order to assure the confidentiality of the information circulating between Omnivox and you.
Access is controlled by several firewalls filtering access requests in order to identify and neutralize any unauthorized penetration attempt.
Omnivox simplifies the lives of students, teachers and employees of the College by integrating effective communication tools. Management of student records is greatly facilitated.
The Payment Center service for example, allows to pay tuition fees easily. Once the payment is accepted by the bank, the balance is automatically adjusted in the student's file, simplifying the life of both the student and the college. Please note that no refund is offered for this transactions.
All payments made via Omnivox are in Canadian currency (CAD).
